RESPONSIBILITIES

Paul provides executive search consulting services and leads our health care practice. He specializes in recruiting for organizations focused in several different industry segments including hospitals, health systems, associations, foundations, and senior services organizations.

EXPERIENCE

Paul joined Anderson & Associates in 1998 after having served for many years as the President & CEO of the Presbyterian Healthcare System (Southern Piedmont Region of the Novant Health System) in Charlotte, North Carolina. Paul held a variety of management positions at Presbyterian, including COO, prior to becoming CEO of the $500MM, multi-hospital system.

As a long time client of Anderson & Associates, he was able to recruit a team of highly successful executives who led Presbyterian to excellent performance in an extremely competitive, managed care market. As a result, he understands the leadership attributes required for success in the health care industry today.

PERSONAL

A Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Paul has served as its Regent for Western North Carolina. He was also a member of the North Carolina Hospital Association, where he has served in a variety of capacities including a term on the Board of Trustees. Paul has been active in various local and regional healthcare organizations and has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Counsel On Health Cost and as past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the H. Carl Rowland Memorial Library. His community service has included membership on the Board of Directors of Queens College, the Advisory Committee of Communities In Schools, the Dowd YMCA, Goodwill Industries and as a Director of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce.
